AdmitStride (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is an AI-powered college application coaching platform, built around your AI coach, Albert. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information you provide when using AdmitStride. By creating an account, you agree to this policy.

Account information: Your email address and a hashed password, collected when you register.

Profile information: Grade level, school type, intended major, GPA range, extracurricular activities, and other academic details you provide during onboarding or in your profile.

Usage data: Chat messages you send to Albert, colleges added to your list, roadmap milestone completions, and notification interactions.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, and general device information collected automatically for security and service improvement.

Access Grant applications: If you apply for an Access Grant, we collect your household income range, number of dependents, and a personal statement.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and personalize the AdmitStride service
• Generate AI-powered college guidance using your academic profile
• Send deadline reminders and in-app notifications
• Process and review Access Grant applications
• Detect fraud and abuse, and maintain platform security
• Improve and develop new features

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

AdmitStride uses the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Supabase— Our database and authentication provider. Your account data and profile information are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
• Google (Gemini)— Our AI provider, which processes your chat messages to generate Albert's responses. Messages sent to Albert are transmitted to Google. Google does not use your messages to train its models under our agreement.
• Resend— Our transactional email provider. We share your email address with Resend solely to deliver account-related emails (welcome message, notifications).

AdmitStride is intended for students in grades 6–12, which may include children under 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If you are under 13, we require verifiable parental consent before collecting your personal information. During account creation, users who indicate they are under 13 are prompted to obtain parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

Parents and guardians may contact us at hello@admitstride.com to review, update, or request deletion of their child's information.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Chat conversation history is retained to provide a continuous, personalized experience. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal reasons.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information through your profile settings
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent at any time (for users under 13, parental withdrawal)

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and, where appropriate, by sending an in-app notification. Continued use of AdmitStride after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
